MasterClass St. Vincent Teaches Creativity & Songwriting TUTORIAL

Under the stage name St. Vincent, Annie Clark has won Grammys while remaining fiercely innovative and true to herself. Now Annie is opening the door to her process to teach you how to explore your creativity. Learn how to record music, write songs, improve your guitar skills, and embrace your vulnerability. Let Annie guide you through the ups and downs of creating art so you can share what’s in your heart with the world.

St. Vincent, a Grammy-winning artist, shares her process for creating her signature original music-emotionally intense and inventive-in her new MasterClass on creativity and songwriting. No matter where you are on your musical or creative journey, St. Vincent shows you how to nurture new ideas, silence your inner critic, and experience the joy of seeing projects through to completion.

With a knack for deconstructing rock and pop conventions, St. Vincent expanded on her passion for guitar and grunge music to create uniquely original alt sounds, introducing her genre-bending vibes with her first studio album, Marry Me-an adventuresome mix of rock, electronic, and jazz-in 2007. She continued to challenge musical boundaries with her follow-ups, managing to land both critical and commercial acclaim.

In 2009, she made her chart debut with the album Actor and went on to become the first solo female artist in 20 years to win a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album with St. Vincent in 2014.
